The Class of Dec 53 have been searching for classmate Jimmy for some years. Today I had a phone call from his family who told me he had died from cancer some 25 - 30 years ago.

To quote Bob de Haas: "Vic will be remembered in many ways, no doubt – but we are especially thankful for the way in which he helped unite his Class of June 1960, and contributed to the Officer Cadet School Alumni website. Be assured neither his work, nor his name, will ever be forgotten. He was a true “communicator” and upheld the OCS motto of “Loyalty and Service”. May he now Rest in Peace."
Vale - Terence Ross Jones CSC, RAE - OCS Class of Jun '71. Died 3 Dec 2008.
Terry began his Army life at AAS Balcombe(18th intake), served in Vietnam with 1 Fd Sqn RAE in 1967-68 as a Sapper before attending OCS Portsea in 1970-71.
His postings after OCS included: 21 Const. Sqn 1 RTB, Kapooka Ingleburn Newcastle(Army Reserve Unit) Engr Unit at Liverpool Victoria Bks(CE's Bch) 20 Div ESS(Enoggera)
Terry's funeral will be held on Tuesday, 9th December, commencing at 10.30am at St Peters Catholic Church, Beerburrum Road, Caboolture. This will be followed by a committal service at the Upper Caboolture Cemetery at 561 Caboolture River Road, Upper Caboolture.
Graham, John Anthony, RAInf, RAAOC - OCS Portsea Graduate of the Class of June 1965 - passed away quietly at home with his family by his side at 1230 hrs 1 Nov 2009. Arrangements have been made for the funeral to be conducted on Thu 5 Nov 09, at 1400 hrs, at the Salvation Army Hall, Francis St, Faulconbridge, NSW 2776. The Hall is located at the bottom of Francis Rd. A wake at around 1600 hr at the Springwood Country Club, in Hawksbury Rd, Springwood. Ex-ADF members are asked to wear Service Medals and Awards, if they desire.. Please notify Tony Graham if wishing to attend - 0438 284 440. REST IN PEACE BROTHER ANZAC.
Dick Tucker and Bernie McGurgan have just relayed the sad news of the passing of Ted Love (OCS Class of Dec '60). Ted passed away in hospital last Saturday afternoon 28th Nov 2009, after a collapse at home about a week prior, which saw him admitted to intensive care since. Our thoughts are with his wife Annie and family. Rest in Peace Ted, you've served well. Funeral arrangements should be in Monday's Sydney papers.
Vale 53103 LTCOL Peter Thomas Norton CASKEY RAE (Tn) and RACT. OCS graduate Jun 57. Passed away on 3 Feb 2010 aged 76 years. Loving Father of John and Rick. Proud Grandfather of Sean, Lachlan and Emma. Peter was privately cremated.
A memorial gathering was held at the Carrington Boat Club, Hilda Street CORINDA QLD, on 13 Feb attended by a goodly crowd consisting of family, local friends, the Boat Club fraternity, his Nasho RAAF comrades and several Army types, including three of his OCS class mates: Jack Campbell, Laurie Hall and John Neenan. Some of Peter's ashes were buried beneath the Club's flag pole which he had erected; the remainder were scattered on the Brisbane River. The smallest OCS graduating class of 15 now has three deceased: the youngest, Peter Belt; the oldest; Peter Caskey; and the first to go, Terry Kelly. Terry's widow, Nancy (from Melbourne), and her two sons were also at Peter Caskey's commemorative activity.

Peter died today, 1 June 2010 after a long illness.
Funeral: St Mark's Anglican Church, The Gap, Brisbane at 1.30 pm Thursday 3 June. The church is located on the corner of Waterworks Road and Kullaroo Street. This sad news was passed on by Peter's Portsea classmate - Rob Murray.

Robert Harding SMITH, RAASC, RACT - Class of Jun 70
Sad news today on his death today in the Coffs Harbour area, 29 Jan 2009.
Bob served in Vietnam with 4 RAR as a L/Cpl from May 68 - May 69 before graduating from the OCS Portsea Class of Jun 70 into the RAASC, RACT.
